How to Study

Read in Your Own Language

You are welcome to read the Bible in any language you wish. You are welcome to read the Bible in English, since that is the primary language you will be using while you study in the United States. We have included links to each passage in English; these links point to Bible Gateway, which includes resources in both English and 70 other languages. You can also download the YouVersion Bible App, which includes Bibles in over 1,400 languages.

You may notice that many languages have different versions of the Bible. These versions often use different words based on how long ago they were translated. Some of these versions are better than others at communicating the meaning of the original words of the Bible. God intends that the Bible be understood by its readers. You can find out more about different Bible versions by visiting https://www.biblesociety.org.uk/explore-the-bible/which-is-the-best-bible-translation/ or https://www.mardel.com/bibletranslationguide.

Discuss with Other People

We encourage you to study the Bible in a way that is comfortable for you, but make an effort to study with other people who can discuss together what you are reading. Please contact us if you would like to meet for a Bible discussion!
